Tall Squirrel Door Stop + Wedge

The Tall Cast Iron Squirrel Door Stop & Wedge brings a touch of woodland character to a practical household essential. Its sculptural squirrel sits upright with its paws held neatly in front, creating a playful silhouette that feels decorative even when the door is closed. Dark brown cast iron gives the piece a warm, aged appearance, while the long upright handle ends in an open loop for a traditional, easy-to-grasp detail.

Use it to hold a heavier interior door open in an entryway, hallway, study or living area. The wedge extends from behind the squirrel and slides beneath the door, while the cast iron construction and supplied approximate weight of 3 kg give the piece substantial presence for everyday door management. Its 54 cm overall height makes the loop handle convenient to reach when positioning or retrieving the wedge. Styled against wood flooring, a patterned rug or a dark-painted door, the squirrel design adds personality without taking over the room. It is especially at home in country, farmhouse and rustic interiors.

Measuring approximately 30 cm from nose to tail and 10 cm wide, the design has a narrow footprint while retaining the detailed shape of the animal. Rounded ears, folded paws and a sweeping tail create a recognisable squirrel profile from different angles. Minor assembly is required before use. Once assembled, this useful accent offers an appealing balance of weight, height and whimsy, turning an ordinary door accessory into something worth leaving on display. It would also make a thoughtful housewarming gift for an animal lover, host or anyone who enjoys practical homewares with a warm, collected feel.
