Give a wide entrance a more considered finish with the Sofia Long Doormat. Its generous oblong shape is designed for French doors, patio doors and other broad entryways where a regular mat can feel undersized. A natural coir centre brings warm, organic texture, while the black rubber scrollwork at each end adds an elegant decorative frame. The result is an entrance mat that feels welcoming without losing sight of everyday practicality.

Place Sofia at a sheltered front door, beneath a covered verandah or outside a protected set of patio doors to create a defined landing point. The long 115 cm width gives guests room to wipe both shoes comfortably, and the firm, coarse coir fibres provide effective shoe-scraping action before dirt reaches the floors inside. Its natural and black palette works easily with painted doors, wooden decking, stone paving and traditional entrance details, making it a versatile choice for classic, French Provincial and country-inspired homes.

Handcrafted from natural coir with decorative rubber detailing, this substantial mat balances durable materials with a refined scroll design. The colour extends into the coir fibres for a longer-lasting finish, while the rubber sections add structure and visual contrast. Natural fibres may vary slightly in texture, colour and appearance, giving each mat its own individual character. Position it in a sheltered entrance, protect it from excessive moisture and allow it to dry promptly if it becomes wet. Regular shaking or brushing will remove loose dirt and naturally shed fibres, helping the mat remain neat and effective through regular use.

Complete your entrance with one of our practical door stops for an inviting and well-organised doorway.

About Coir

Coir is a natural fibre obtained from the outer husk of coconuts. Its firm, coarse texture gives it excellent shoe-scraping properties, making it a practical material for entrance mats.

Coir Doormat Care

Position the doormat in a sheltered entrance and protect it from excessive moisture.
If the mat becomes wet, dry promptly and thoroughly.
Regularly shake or brush away loose dirt and naturally shed fibres.
Protect the coir fibres from scratching by pets and birds, as this can cause damage and excessive shedding.
