The Regular Rubber and Coir Crosshatch Doormat combines a structured geometric design with the practical qualities needed at a busy entrance. Horizontal and vertical rubber lines cross over the natural coir surface to form an interesting grid pattern, giving this hardworking mat a more considered appearance. The contrast between smooth rubber and textured coconut fibre creates visual depth while providing different surfaces for brushing dirt and debris from shoes.
Its neat rectangular proportions suit many standard front doors, back entrances and sheltered porches. The simple crosshatch pattern works easily with modern, industrial and understated exterior schemes, coordinating with dark door hardware, clean architectural lines and neutral finishes. A slimmer profile allows the mat to sit comfortably at the doorway, while the waterproof rubber backing provides support and helps protect the surface beneath it. Although the backing resists water, the natural coir fibres are slightly absorbent, so the doormat will maintain its appearance and performance best when it is not exposed to prolonged rain or excessive moisture.
Made from rubber and natural coconut fibre, the mat brings together durability, texture and excellent scraping properties. Its 3 cm thickness gives it a substantial feel without the height of a traditional thick coir mat, making it a practical option for frequently used entrances. Shake or brush away loose dirt when needed, allow the mat to dry promptly if it becomes wet and discourage cats or birds from scratching the fibres, as this may cause excessive shedding. With its distinctive geometric surface and straightforward natural palette, it delivers useful everyday performance while adding a smart, textural detail to the threshold.

About Coir
Coir is a natural fibre obtained from the outer husk of coconuts. Its firm, coarse texture gives it excellent shoe-scraping properties, making it a practical material for entrance mats.
Coir Doormat Care
- Position the doormat in a sheltered entrance and protect it from excessive moisture.
- If the mat becomes wet, allow it to dry promptly and thoroughly.
- Regularly shake or brush away loose dirt and naturally shed fibres.
