The XL Black Border Coir Doormat is here to give your broad entrance a strong, polished foundation with it's simple style. Its generous proportions create a balanced look at double doors, wide front doors and spacious covered entryways, while the crisp black border frames the natural coir centre with understated definition. The neutral combination feels timeless and considered, allowing the mat to complement both traditional architecture and clean contemporary entrances without overwhelming the surrounding details.

Measuring approximately 106 cm long and 66 cm wide, this extra-large doormat provides substantial coverage and plenty of room for guests to wipe their shoes before stepping inside. The firm natural coir fibres have excellent scraping properties, helping to catch dirt at the threshold, while the approximately 4 cm depth gives the mat a substantial presence. Style it beneath a covered porch or in a sheltered entry where the black edging can echo dark door hardware, planters or exterior trim. Its restrained design suits classic, country and modern homes alike.

Handcrafted by artisans from natural coconut fibres, this mat brings the slight variations in colour, texture and appearance that make natural-fibre pieces individual. Fade-resistant colour penetrates the coir fibres for a longer-lasting finish, and the coarse surface combines attractive texture with practical everyday performance. To keep the doormat at its best, position it away from excessive moisture and dry it promptly and thoroughly if it becomes wet. Shake or brush away loose dirt and naturally shed fibres regularly, and protect the coir from scratching by pets or birds to prevent avoidable damage.

Complete your entrance with one of our practical door stops for a functional and coordinated doorway.

About Coir

Coir is a natural fibre obtained from the outer husk of coconuts. Its firm, coarse texture gives it excellent shoe-scraping properties, making it a practical material for entrance mats.

Coir Doormat Care

Position the doormat in a sheltered entrance and protect it from excessive moisture.
If the mat becomes wet, dry promptly and thoroughly.
Regularly shake or brush away loose dirt and naturally shed fibres.
Protect the coir fibres from scratching by pets and birds, as this can cause damage and excessive shedding.
