The Whale Long Doormat brings a playful coastal welcome to wide entryways, pairing a generous format with a distinctive whale motif. Printed across a natural coir surface, the elongated design gives double doors, broad verandah entrances and spacious thresholds a more considered finish. Its warm, earthy texture feels relaxed and inviting, while the marine-inspired artwork adds personality without overwhelming the space. It is an easy way to introduce a gentle seaside note before guests have even stepped inside.

Place it at a sheltered front door, beneath a covered porch or at an entrance where a standard mat can look undersized. The 120 cm length creates a balanced look across wider doorways, while the dense coir fibres help scrape dirt from shoes as people come and go. Style it with white-painted joinery, natural baskets, weathered planters or soft blue accents to build a casual coastal setting. The whale design also makes it a characterful choice for beach houses and homes that enjoy thoughtful ocean-inspired details.

Handcrafted by artisans from 100% natural coir, this long doormat celebrates the practical qualities and varied character of coconut fibre. Coir's coarse texture is naturally well suited to removing loose dirt from footwear, and the substantial 4 cm profile gives the mat a reassuring presence at the door. The printed colour penetrates into the fibres for a lasting decorative finish, while natural variations contribute to the individual appearance of each piece. Keep the mat sheltered from excessive moisture, allow it to dry promptly if wet and protect the fibres from scratching pets or birds. With sensible care, it offers a hardworking and welcoming finishing touch for your entrance.

About Coir

Coir is a natural fibre obtained from the outer husk of coconuts. Its firm, coarse texture gives it excellent shoe-scraping properties, making it a practical material for entrance mats.

Coir Doormat Care

Position the doormat in a sheltered entrance and protect it from excessive moisture.
If the mat becomes wet, allow it to dry promptly and thoroughly.
Regularly shake or brush away loose dirt and naturally shed fibres.
Protect the coir fibres from scratching by pets and birds, as this can cause damage and excessive shedding.
