The Yellow Kombi Van Doormat brings the carefree spirit of a beach escape to the front door. Its cheerful yellow Kombi motif stands out against the warm, textured coir, creating an entrance detail that feels nostalgic, relaxed and full of personality. The familiar vintage van design has an easy coastal character without relying on a formal seaside palette, making it a playful choice for homes that celebrate travel, summer and laid-back living.
Use it at a sheltered front entrance, beach house doorway or covered verandah where the bold yellow artwork can provide a bright welcome. It pairs naturally with white-painted walls, woven baskets, leafy planters and other casual coastal pieces. The regular proportions suit a wide range of doorways, while the deep coir pile helps scrape loose dirt from shoes before it reaches the interior. Its substantial profile also gives the mat a grounded look that balances the light-hearted motif.
Handwoven from 100% natural coir, this doormat combines artisan construction with the practical texture of coconut fibre. The printed dye penetrates deeply into the fibres, helping the Kombi design maintain its decorative presence through regular use. Natural variations in colour and texture are part of the material's individual appeal rather than imperfections. Keep the mat in a sheltered position where it will not become excessively wet, and allow it to dry promptly whenever it is exposed to moisture. Shake or brush away loose dirt as required, and discourage pets or birds from scratching the fibres because this may cause damage and increased shedding. With appropriate care, it offers a durable and uplifting welcome with unmistakable retro character.

About Coir
Coir is a natural fibre obtained from the outer husk of coconuts. Its firm, coarse texture gives it excellent shoe-scraping properties, making it a practical material for entrance mats.
Coir Doormat Care
- Position the doormat in a sheltered entrance and protect it from excessive moisture.
- If the mat becomes wet, allow it to dry promptly and thoroughly.
- Regularly shake or brush away loose dirt and naturally shed fibres.
- Protect the coir fibres from scratching by pets and birds, as this can cause damage and excessive shedding.
