The Large Grey Home Doormat offers a simple and considered foundation for a welcoming entrance. Its soft grey colour gives the natural coir surface a calm, contemporary appearance, allowing the texture of the fibres to become the defining detail. With no elaborate motif competing for attention, this generously sized mat creates a polished first impression while remaining easy to coordinate with a wide variety of doors and exterior finishes.
Measuring 90 cm long and 60 cm wide, it provides more coverage than a regular doormat without requiring the extended proportions of a long design. The understated grey works particularly well with crisp white, charcoal, navy and natural wooden doors, as well as stone, concrete and tiled thresholds. Use it at a larger single doorway, beneath a covered porch or at an entrance where a standard mat feels out of scale. Its restrained appearance suits modern and transitional homes, while the natural texture keeps the overall effect warm rather than stark.
Handcrafted by artisans from natural coir fibres, this substantial doormat has the effective scraping texture needed for a busy household entrance. The grey dye penetrates deeply into the fibres for a lasting finish, while the 4 cm thickness gives the mat a reassuringly solid presence underfoot. Coir naturally absorbs some moisture, so the doormat should be placed in a sheltered position and allowed to dry promptly if it becomes wet. Practical, durable and uncomplicated, it is a reliable choice for anyone seeking a larger entrance mat that complements the home without dominating it.
Finish your doorway with one of our practical and decorative door stops.
