Small Hartwell Round Footed Board

A little height can make all the difference to a kitchen display. The Small Hartwell Round Footed Board raises favourite pieces above the bench, giving them a defined place within your arrangement. Its circular top and rounded, turned feet soften the substantial wooden profile, while the weathered brown surface introduces warmth beside smooth ceramics and glass. Visible grain and markings give it an easy, lived-in character that feels at home among cookbooks, woven baskets and well-loved kitchen accessories.

Use it to bring a few condiment bottles and a pepper mill together, creating a compact grouping beside your cooking area. The raised platform adds another level to the arrangement, helping smaller pieces hold their own alongside taller utensils or a leafy vase. White ceramics look particularly lovely against the darker wood, although muted greens and earthy colours work just as naturally. On a dining room sideboard, try a favourite decorative jug or a small ornament, leaving some of the wooden surface visible so its texture remains part of the display.

Made from reclaimed wood, every Hartwell board has its own combination of grain, texture and markings. These differences give each piece an individual appearance and make the board an appealing addition to country, farmhouse and French country interiors. Its simple round shape also sits comfortably within a quieter scheme of neutral colours and natural materials. Whether you change the pieces on top with the seasons or keep a familiar everyday arrangement, it provides a warm foundation with character of its own.
